Despite objections by separatists leaders-Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Omar Farooq, the Zubin Metha Show ‘Ehsaas-e-Kashmir’ (the feel of Kashmir) must go on as per schedule. The special concert-being organised by the German Embassy-will see Mumbai born Mehta conducting ‘Bayerische Staatsorchester, from Munich, one of the best classical orchestras.
This is for the first time that a show of this nature is being conducted at the foothills of Zabarwan range of mountains and if this show is not conducted on the diktats of separatist leaders it will make music lovers across the globle disappointed. Besides, the show will give relief to people fed up with violence and daily strikes as music has a cathartic effect.
It is expected that the concert will be attended by high-profile guests who include ambassadors of various European countries, industrialists and other dignitaries.
The separatists should not poke their nose in everything that concern people of the State. Nobody has given to them any mandate in this regard.
