JAMMU, Mar 3: Class-IV employees of State Education Department have alleged stagnation and demanded that they should be considered for promotions as per their educational qualifications.
In a meeting of All Class -IV Education Department Employees Association held here today under the chairmanship of Dev Raj Sharma, the members discussed the issues of the Class-IV workers of the department. They alleged that despite clear promotion policy, they are facing stagnation for long. Even on the basis of their educational qualifications, they have been denied the opportunity to get promotions. Even in violation of SRO 308, they are not being promoted as Lab Assistants and Junior Assistants. As per rules 75 % posts are filled by the promotions but due to stagnation and indifferent attitude of the senior officers, they are suffering. They warned to start agitation if they were not provided justice.
