Rajouri, June 18: Terming education as backbone of positive society, Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar Javed A Rana today said that betterment in education sector is among his top priorities and listed several historical achievements in education sector in last few years in Mendhar.
Rana was addressing during a largely attended programme organized by people in Salwah village of Mendhar to celebrate the Government’s decision of upgradition of High School Salwah to Higher Secondary level.
He said that every stable and positive society has education as its backbone which shapes society towards betterment.
Rana said that although there are different priorities for him to ensure that Mendhar Assembly segment turns into a model segment, but education is top priority as it gives positive shape of generations to come.
Legislator also listed some historical achievements on his part in education sector of Poonch’s Mendhar which include sanction of Eklavaya Model Residential School and Cluster University campus at Dhana Shastar area.
He said that Eklavya Model Residential School will prove a boon for studies of tribal children and is a twenty crore project while University Campus will open new doors of higher education scenario in the area.
Earlier people of the area felt satisfied over the upgradition of Salwah High School.
