Educating children

Sir,
Children are the buds who blossom into flowers in future. Future prospects of the society are largely decided the way children are groomed in the early  phase of their life.
Unfortunately, the present educational set up is hoslite towards growth and development of these blossoming buds. Children are groomed in an unscientific manner with no regard to psychomotor and psychosomatic aspect of child’s personality.
Children have been turned into commodities by the proprietors of education who are marketing them to make a quick buds. Heavy doses of concepts are thrust in the minds of these children. Children are required to prepare for unit and term examinations and score good marks. The only option for these poor children remains to use  rote method to leave these concepts and face the unit tests. In course of time children internalize the habit of rote learning but remain wanting in understanding.
Immediate attention from all the stake holders is warranted to address this grim issue. Political dispensation in the Government should constitute a sub committee of experts to tackle this sensitive issue.
Yours etc…..
