EC suggests establishment of Speaker’s Grievance Cell

JAMMU, Nov 14: The Committee on Ethics of Legislative Assembly today suggested for establishment of Telephone Exchange and Speaker’s Grievance Cell in Legislative Assembly Complex at Jammu and Srinagar. It observed that it will help the legislators in communicating with top bureaucrats of the administration.
The meeting of Ethics Committee was held here today and was presided over by the Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul.
The Chairman of Ethics Committee Aijaz Ahmad Jan and its members Dr.Mushtafa Kamaal, Mir Zahoor Ahmed, Syed Bashir Ahmed, Sukhnandan Kumar, Bimla Luthra and Prof.Ghouru Ram Bhagat attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the members gave their valuable suggestions and views on the Model Code of Conduct to be observed by the members in and outside the House.
Among others, Special Secretary, M. R. Singh and other officers of Assembly Secretariat also attended the meeting.
