JAMMU, Mar 27: Gajansoo police arrested ear-rings snatcher from Jourian area of Tehsil Akhnoor.
As per police sources, on March 20, a lady identified as Sunita Kumari, wife of Ashwani Kumar, a resident of Galwade Chack had gone for morning walk, when an unidentified person traveling in a Maruti car stopped the lady and snatched her ear-rings.
The woman raised hue and cry, but the accused managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 20/16 under Section 382 RPC has been registered at Kanachack police station and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
During investigation, a team from Gajansoo police post conducted raid in Jourian area and arrested the snatcher, who has been identified as Rajesh Kumar, son of Harbans Lal, a resident of Jourian.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Gajansoo police post SI Rajesh Verma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Kanachack Rakesh Singh, SDPO Domana SK Sharma and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
