UDHAMPUR, May 8: Three-day course on ‘e-governance’ for DDOs of Police, organized by Police Academy Udhampur, concluded today.
The course was an initiative of the police in the field of e-governance as police department has high interaction with citizen, Government, judiciary and human rights activists. The course was aimed at making DDOs effective in control of all forms of criminal activities, increase the accessibility to the common man, providing secure environment to citizens, better management of human resources, equipment and use of law.
The course was inaugurated by the Director SKPA Udhampur, Rajesh Kumar, IGP which was attended by 23 officers (10- SSPs and 13 SPs) of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The course was coordinated by Kamal Sharma CPO, in which DC Jammu Ajit Kumar Sahu, Rahul Pandit, Director IDEOGRAM Tech Solutions, Lovenesh Kapoor, CA Jammu, SK Raina, Senior Audit Officer (retired), Ajay Koul Assistant Prof SMVDU, Dr Manoj Bhatt, Department of Economics, University of Jammu, deliberated on various issues concerning ‘e-Governance’, its challenges, initiatives and cyber security.
DC Jammu presented the live demonstrations of e-file movement of his office and discussed elaborately the implementation of concept of e-governance in Jammu district.
The course was validated by DIG BSF, JC Singla, who appreciated the initiative taken by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and laid stress on computer literacy of every person. Assistant Director (Admn) Shiv Kumar Sharma SSP, Ravinder Rao DDP, Assistant Director (Indoor) and Romesh Kotwal SP, Assistant Director (Outdoor), presented a memento on behalf of the Academy to DIG BSF as a memoir for his visit to the Academy.
