JAMMU, June 9: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today released an album of devotional songs ‘Jyot Jagdi Darbaar” in a function organized by the New Chandi Mata Mandir at Bari Brahmna .
MLA Samba Dr. Davinder Maniyal, local Sarpanch, prominent citizens and large number of devotees were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Singh congratulated the management of the temple and the singer Lucky Verma for release of the album.
Locals of the area also met DyCM and apprised him of various problems viz improvement of roads, regular supply of water, uninterrupted power supply besides various other demands and grievances were put forth by the people.
DyCM patiently heard the grievances of the people and assured them that all their genuine issues would be considered and addressed in a phased manner.
He said that it is the endeavour of the Government to provide all basic facilities to the people on priority, adding that a well conceived programme has been devised to address all issues in a phased manner.
He further said that Government is committed for socio-economic upliftment of the people especially those living in hilly, remote and far-flung areas. He emphasized on regular monitoring of the development works by the people in their respective areas for effectives implementation of various schemes and programmes, adding that it will ensure quality works on ground. He also said that Government will leave no stone unturned to redress the genuine grievances of the people.
