DyCM inspects development projects at Billawar

KATHUA, Nov 18: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today visited different parts of Billawar and inspected pace of work on various developmental projects.
During his visit to village Ramkot, DyCM inspected ongoing work of Community Facilitation Centre (CFC) which is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh. He directed the officials of executing agency to accelerate the pace of construction so that the CFC gets completed without any delay and well in time. He was informed that the work is in full swing and will be completed soon.
He also visited Ramkot Higher Secondary School and inspected the construction of additional class rooms. DyCM was briefed that the construction was in final stages and the money sanctioned by him was expended judiciously.
At Gujroo Nagrota, DyCM visited another Higher Secondary School and took stock of construction of additional class rooms and other school infra being constructed for facilitating the students. He said that when these assets will be created a long pending demand of the people of Gujroo Nagrota will be fulfilled.
The Deputy Chief Minister also called for expediting work on all the key projects to complete these within the set time-frame for the benefit of people. “Our focus is on expediting development works, ensuring good governance and providing a corruption-free administration,” he said while inspecting work on lanes and drains at Gujroo Nagrota.
On the occasion, people also demanded a culture centre at village Gujroo Nagrota. DyCM after hearing their demand directed the concerned authorities to prepare a detailed project report for the same.
