Dy Mayor listens problems of Market Associations at Bikram Chowk, Ware House

JAMMU, May 10: Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma here today inspected different markets at Bikram Chowk and Ware house.
On this occasion Market Associations highlighted problems being faced by the business community.
Market Associations demanded black-topping in front of Rehabilitation Tawi Complex Market at Bikram Chowk towards University of Jammu and police security to keep check on drug addiction, miscreants and gamblers as all these cause trouble for the shopkeepers there especially in evening.
Other demands included passenger sheds on the sides of University road and near Warehouse road as many passengers and students wait there for mini-buses.
Still more demands raised by the Market Associations included parking facility, increase in number of Safari Karamcharis in the area for sanitation purpose, construction of sheds at Tanga stand in Warehouse, fogging at Warehouse, high mast lights and repair of damaged footpaths.
The Deputy Mayor assured the representatives of Associations that their all problems will be sorted out in the shortest possible period and she gave directions to the officers in this regard.
Amit Gupta, Counsellor Ward number-19, Dr. Saleem Khan, Health Officer JMC along with members of Market Associations including Deepak Gupta (General Secretary Warehouse), Rattan Lal Gupta (President Warehouse), Munish Mahajan (Union Vice President), Vishal Gupta (Cashier), Abhimanyu (Secretary), Dheeraj Gupta (Vice-President), Ashok Gupta (President, Rehabilitation Tawi Complex) and Sanjay Kumar Gupta, (President, Vyapaar Mandal Bikram Chowk) were also present on the occasion.
