JAMMU, Nov 19: Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria while taking stock of the various public issues assured their immediate redressal.
At a press conference here, today he said major issues included recruitment of human resources up to sanctioned strength in the newly constructed 50 bedded Hospital at Gangyal. He also insisted about the long pending issues of 600 Safai Karamcharis and their immediate redressal.

Deputy Mayor said he also called on Lt. Governor and discussed various developmental issues with him. He said that the LG has assured him all cooperation from administration in mitigating the people’s sufferings. Deputy Mayor, said all efforts will be made for proper sanitation of Jammu city and proper execution of all projects of Smart City. He also appealed to general public of the city for feedback on all activities of MC and Smart City. He also complimented LG for taking keen interest in development of J&K UT as a whole.
While complimenting LG for his initiative in e-office and digitalization of the system, he said that e-office and digitalization would bring complete transparency in the system.
Deputy Mayor further stressed on establishing of Rehri zones in all 75 wards of MC in a rationalized way.
During the press conference Deputy Mayor was accompanied by Chairman Health and Sanitation R.K Tarkhan and Chairman Social Justice, Ajay Gupta. Chairman Health & Sanitation, R.K Tarkhan
while briefing the media persons stressed on restoration and functioning of Chenab Filtration Plant in order to mitigate the public cry for water. He also appealed to Government for earlier completion of PHE projects and opening of PWD road occupied by police at Channi Rama.
Chairman Social Justice, Ajay Gupta while interacting with media persons stressed for removal of misappropriation in Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCSCA) Department and its smooth functioning.
