JAMMU, May 29: Commissioner/Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, M. K. Dwivedi, today sought immediate release of pending payments by the Government departments for supplies/material supplied by the local MSMEs and corporations of Industries & Commerce Department.
He was chairing a meeting to review the progress made by various departments in this regard.
The meeting was attended by the senior officers of the various departments including the representatives of the Finance and Planning Department and Managing Director, SICOP and Director Finance, Industries & Commerce.
Dwivedi took serious view of slow pace of the concerned departments on this issue and asked the officers to come up with a final proposal on Wednesday (June 3, 2020) with the directions to clear the payments as early as possible.
The departments were asked to submit the report with full justification in case of non release of payments.
The final outcome of the reports of each department shall be brought to the notice of higher authorities to take the final call on settling the issue, the meeting decided.
