Durga Nagar residents’ concern over power crisis

JAMMU, July 4: A meeting of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee was held today under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina , its president in which the problems of people in Durga Nagar and Roop Nagar localities were discussed.
The meeting expressed grave concern over fluctuation and tripping of the power in the area for last fortnight. It said the hide and seek being played by electricity is adding to the woes of people especially the old and infirm in this scorching heat.
The meeting said that due fluctuation of light the inverters have also become defunct therefore adding to the woes of people further. The meeting demanded improvement in power supply by reducing the frequent cuts. It also sought direct intervention of Advisor to Governor, K K Sharma towards the matter and appealed him to take stock of the problem.
The meeting also demanded issuance of orders for waiting list teachers in Pulwama and other districts under PM package.
