Durga Nagar Committee lists demands

JAMMU, Mar 17: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee in a meeting today held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina its president discussed the problems of the area as well as displaced people from Valley.
The meeting sought the immediate intervention of LG Manoj Sinha for redressal of the problems which included enhancement of cash relief to migrants as prices of essential commodities have touched sky. Raina urged the LG to take up the issue with Union Government. He demanded construction of 1000 TRTs for the migrants putting up in rented accommodations and are unable to bear the rent. He demanded that the extra budged be kept at the disposal of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner for solving the basic problems of migrants like providing of medical facilities, electricity, water facilities, construction of roads, lanes and drains etc. He also demanded facilities for camp schools and demanded that migrant patients under going treatment in Sidhra and Narayana Hospital be also given benefit of medicare scheme.
