JAMMU, Apr 29: A meeting of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina in which the authorities were asked to expedite the work on park in the area.
The other issues discussed included opening of JK Bank branch and Post Office in Durga Nagar, black topping of roads, construction of drains which has already been accepted by the Government and regular supply of water in the area.
Addressing the meeting, Mr Raina said that the Committee members met the concerned authorities various times regarding these demands and they were appealed to ensure that the work on various schemes be initiated after the Model Code of Conduct ends.
