Durga Nagar Committee delegation meets CS

JAMMU, Mar 12: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee here, today called on Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta and apprised him about the problems of the area.
The delegation led by president of the Committee, Roshan Lal Raina demanded enhancement of cash relief to migrants from Rs 13000 to Rs 20,000 per month in view of the sky rocketing prices as the migrant families dependent on cash relief are unable to bear their day to day expenses including school fee of their children. It demanded construction of tube well for maintaining better water supply to the area, besides the drainage work be started in the area and remaining lanes and drains be constructed.
It also demanded that 15 kanals of land be transferred for construction of migrant school, PM package employees be provided accommodation in Valley, and staff be provided to Relief Organisation.
Ravinder Bakshi Chairman of the Committee, Bihari Lal, C L Zutshi and Badri Nath were the other members of the delegation.
