I would like to thank Mr O P Sharma for his article ‘A case for Duggar Channel’ DE May 31. This genuine demand was first highlighted by Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA) and now it is a matter of pride for DADAA that Jammu people are realising the need of Duggar Channel for the upliftment of cultural heritage of Jammu province. I would like to bring to your notice that in the previous UPA Govt a deputation of DADAA met Munish Tiwari, the then INB Minister who principally agreed to setting up of satellite Duggar Channel and also processed the same. Now all the prominent citizens of Jammu in one voice have supported this geniune cause of Jammu. Therefore, the present Govt must think over this geniune demand of Jammu people and issue orders for setting up the satellite Duggar Channel.
