Srinagar, Jan 25: Keeping up with the process of identifying and terminating the teachers who have remained absent from their duties, the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) today terminated two more teachers from Kashmir.
The teachers who have been fired after being found unauthorizedly absent from their duties include Dinaz Rather, Teacher GHS Batmaloo, Srinagar and Mehnaz Rashid Teacher, PS, Ashpeer Baramulla.
About Dinaz Rather, the DSEK said that the concerned teacher remained unauthorizedly absent from her legitimate duties from 01/03/2011 “and despite providing enough opportunities to resume her duties by the Drawing & Disbursing officer concerned neither she responded to the notices nor resumed her duties,” an order issued here said.
Regarding Mehnaz Rashid, who has also been terminated, the DSEK said the concerned teacher applied for three months leave from 04/12/2017 and instead of resuming her duties after the expiry of the leave, “she remained unauthorisedly absent from her legitimate duties w.e.f. 05/03/2018.”
As per DSEK, both the teachers were provided ample opportunities to join back their duties to which they did not respond.
