SAMBA, Feb 13: Director School Education (DSE), Simrandeep Singh today reviewed the functioning of the Education Department in Samba and Kathua districts at a meeting of officers held here.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Education Officer Samba, Mangal Dev Singh, Chief Education Officer Kathua, T. R Mangotra, Principals DIET Samba and Kathua and ZEOs of both the districts.
The DSE took stock of the status of pending construction works under SSA and RMSA, ReT, CAL Centre, attachments/deployments, district sector schemes, new works for strengthening the infrastructure in high schools, progress report of Mid-Day meal programme. Targets and achievements under various schemes including RMSA and Beti Anmol Scheme were also discussed in detail during the meeting.
The DSE issued instructions to the CEOs and ZEOs for computerization of records of all the schools and monitoring of ongoing works on regular basis to achieve the targets in a time bound manner. He also impressed upon all the CEOs and ZEOs to open up their official e-mail accounts for other official correspondence.
He gave instructions for proper monitoring of Mid-Day Meal Scheme in schools and asked them to work with zeal and dedication to achieve desired results.
