Absconding bovine smuggler nabbed

JAMMU, Feb 13: Police arrested an absconder, who was wanted in a case of bovine smuggling registered with police station Jhajjar Kotli around seven years back.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station conducted a raid in Janipur area and arrested an absconder, who was wanted in a case of bovine smuggling and was evading his arrest since then.
The accused has been identified as Shabir Ahmed aliad Kashu, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Khanpur, Nagrota.
He was involved in a case registered with Jhajjar Kotli police station under FIR number 115/2007 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act. He was declared as absconder by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Nagrota Khaliq Choudhary, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
