DSE presents Satyawati Award to 2 teachers

JAMMU, Oct 13: On behalf of S&S Health & Management and Education Society, Director School Education (DSE) Jammu Anuradha Gupta, presented this year’s Satyawati Award for best teachers to Pinky Gupta, Principal HSS Khanna Chhargal (Jammu) and Hushair Singh (Government High School Sundla, Udhampur).
The award was given by the DSE Jammu in presence of other officers of the Education Department. The Society was represented through its president Dr Subhash Gupta (Retd Principal Government Medical College Jammu), secretary Sachin Gupta (Director Dreamtech Solutions) and vice-president Dr Santosh Gupta (Retd Head and Dean Commerce Department, Jammu University). Prof Suresh Chandra (Retd Professor and Head Computer Department, Pant Nagar University) was also present.
S&S Health & Management and Education Society is registered since 1997 and serving in the field of Health and Education. Through the Society, many awareness and health camps are being organized in remote areas of Jammu. In the field of education, the Society has been distributing reading and writing materials and also uniforms to needy students in various schools.
Society had started conferring Satyawati Awards for best teachers in 2016 and the awardees are selected with the help of DSE Jammu. Each teacher is awarded with certificate, memento and a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
