JAMMU, Sept 24: Chowki Choura Police arrested a drugs smuggler along with psychotropic substances.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Chowki Choura led by PSI Pankaj Katoch under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Azhar and SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma laid a naka at Kappa Galla and apprehended a drugs smuggler along with 478 intoxicant tablets, 14 intoxicant capsules and 10 banned injections.
The arrested person was identified as Prithvi Pal, son of Gurdayal Sharma of Hardu Malara Tehsil Chowki Choura District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 273/2022 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
