KATRA, Mar 19: In continuation to the drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, Police today arrested two drug peddlers and seized 2400 number of banned Tramadol capsules from their possession.
The accused, namely Ganesh Kumar alias Kalu and Griever, both sons of Ramesh Chand of South Delhi were arrested during a special naka at Matyal-Katra. During the checking, 2400 numbers of Tramadol Capsules were recovered from the possession of these two drug peddlers.
A case FIR number 57/2020 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Katra against both the accused and further investigation is going on. The arrest and recovery were made by SHO PS Katra, Inspr Pardeep Gupta under the supervision of SDPO Katra Kuljit Singh and ASP Katra Naresh Singh.
Meanwhile, in another success, Katra Police apprehended another drug peddler and seized 3 grams of Heroin from his possession. The accused, identified as Rakesh Kumar of Palanwala, Akhnoor was arrested near Army Gate Banganga and case FIR number 55/2020 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Katra.
