KATHUA, Mar 17: Continuing its drive against the drug menace in the area, district police Kathua achieved major success when a police party of Police Post, Chadwal led by SI Vicky Thapa during patrolling duty at Chaan Rangha, Chadwal under the jurisdiction of PS Rajbagh intercepted a pedestrian who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During his frisking eight grams of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession.
The accused person disclosed his identity as Mohd Kalu alias Kalu S/o Mohd Hussain, R/o Dinga Amb A/p Galak Ramkot. He has been arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 54 /2020 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Rajbagh and investigation started.
