Srinagar, Nov 6: Police today said to have arrested a drug peddler in Anantnag and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Officers from Police Post Janglatmandi at a checkpoint established at Ashijipora Anantnag apprehended a drug peddler identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Akhoon, son of Nazir Ahmad Akhoon resident of Bilal Mohalla Janglatmandi Anantnag.
“During the search, officers were able to recover 02Kgs of Charas Powder from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Anantnag and further investigation has been initiated.
