JAMMU, Mar 22: Janipur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered ganja from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Aijaz Haider during checking near Upper Roop Nagar intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 374 grams ganja from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Vipan Kumar, a resident of Orissa, at present Janipur District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 27/2022 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
