RAMBAN, July 11: Gool Police arrested a drug peddler along with cannabis and heroin.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Gool laid a naka and intercepted Maruti Alto car bearing registration number JK19-6799.
During checking, police team recovered 105 grams cannabis and 4 grams heroin from the car and arrested one person, who was identified as Amasreen Javed, son of Javed Ahmed Shan of Jamman Gool.
During preliminary questioning, the accused confessed that he was illegally transporting the contraband substance from Jammu towards Gool.
A case under FIR Number 64/2021 under Section 8/20/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gool and investigation started.
Police team led by ASI Naseeb Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gool Inspector Muneer Ahmed and SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar.
