JAMMU, Feb 20: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered 5.5 grams of heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Jaswinder Singh alias Guggi, a resident of Ward Number 1, Simbal Camp.
A case under FIR Number 29/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh along with Incharge Border Police Post Kulian ASI Yougal Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
