UDHAMPUR, Aug 3: Police today arrested a drug peddler from Jakhani Chowk and seized 12 grams of contraband substance (Heroin) from his possession.
According to the SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey, the accused, identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Mohd Ashraf of Ladda, Khairi, Udhampur, was on his way from Jakhani to Udhampur when he was apprehended during a Police naka.
The naka party, led by SHO Udhampur, Inspr Vijay Singh Choudhary, under the supervision of Dr Rohit Chadgal, DySP Hqrs Udhampur and Rajinder Kumar Katoch, Addl SP Udhampur, recovered 12 grams of Heroin like substance from his possession following which Police arrested him on the spot and seized the recovered narcotics.
In this connection, a case FIR number 363/2019, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
