DODA, July 25: A driver was injured, when the truck he was driving skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Wani Morh area, falling under the jurisdiction of Assar Police Station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02U-0317 was on its way to Kishtwar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into 350 feet deep gorge near Wani Morh, resulting into serious injuries to the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and after retrieving the injured from the gorge shifted him to PHC Assar, from where he was later referred to GMC Jammu.
The injured has been identified as Babloo Ram, son of Shanker Dass, a resident of District Kishtwar.
A case under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Assar and investigation started.
