JAMMU, July 25: A woman succumbed to her burn injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here today.
According to a police official, the woman identified as Shama Begum (35) wife of Shabir Ahmed, a resident of Sangaldan (Ramban), was shifted here at GMCH on June 22 after she suffered about 57 % burn injuries at her residence due to unknown reasons.
However, the woman succumbed to her injuries today at about 6.45 AM. After completion of all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
