JAMMU, Mar 8: Police arrested oil tanker driver along with 90 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, during checking near TCP Nagrota, a a joint team of SOG Jammu and Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania intercepted one oil tanker bearing registration number HR37D-1183.
During checking, police recovered 90 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Paramjit Singh, son of Pritam Singh of Jhandola, Tehsil Babain, Kurukshetra.
A case under FIR Number 86/19 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
