JAMMU, Oct 2: Pacca Danga Police arrested a driver for deterring policemen on duty.
As per police sources, during routine checking at Manda two tippers rushed without checking during the intervening night of October 1 and 2, October 2022, while they were stopped for routine checking.
On this a team of SDPO City North Sharad Kalu along with his PSOs chased them swiftly and apprehended them.
When asked to show permission, the tipper drivers suddenly accelerated the said tippers to run over the SDPO City North and police party with the intention to kill them.
During investigation, it came to fore that the tipper owner name was Aftab Mohd of Kandoli Nagrota against whom preventive action under relevant sections of CrPC was also done at Police Station Pacca Danga.
After this a special naka was laid by police teams of Police Station Pacca Danga led by SHO Inspector Rakesh Sharma who chased the tippers again and caught one of the tipper and arrested its driver namely Mohd Bashir.
In this regard, a case FIR Number 117/2022 under sections 307 and 353 IPC was registered in Police Station Pacca Danga and further investigation of the case is going on.
