JAMMU, Feb 24: The drains and lanes of Dream City, Muthi, are in deplorable conditions and need immediate attention of the authorities concerned, alleged residents of the Colony.
They said as the sweepers of the area do not bother to clean the drains, the water has stagnated in them and there is every apprehension of spreading diseases.
Moreover, the lanes and bye lanes of the Colony are in bad condition and need immediate repair and blacktopping, they added.
They further maintained that the vacant plots of the area are filled with rubbish and polythene bags, which are making the ambience dirty and unhealthy.
Besides, most of the street lights installed at various lanes in the colony are not functioning and they need immediate repair or replacement.
The residents appealed the Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Kiran Wattal, to take early action to redress their grievances. They further appealed the JMC Commissioner to fulfill his promise of developing the existing park of the area, which is in bad condition.
