DRDO COVID Hospital to be ready by May 24

JAMMU, May 3: To improve the facilities for COVID patients in the J&K UT where the number of people affected by the dreaded virus is increasing day by day, Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is setting up 500 bedded hospital with all facilities for COVID patients in Jammu.
In this regard, a high level team of DRDO officials visited here, today and they identified the land near Amarnath Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar. The work on the construction of the Hospital will be started on May 9 and the Hospital equipped with all facilities will be ready within 15 days i.e by May 24, the team informed . This will go a long way in easing the problems of COVID patients in the Jammu region where the number is surging day by day.
It may be recalled that DRDO has established COVID hospitals in many States of the country to assist the civil hospital authorities in treatment of COVID patients on war footing basis.
