JAMMU, Jan 23: The State Government today constituted a Management Committee for Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, Srinagar.
Headed by Dr Haseeb Drabu, Minister for Finance, as its Chairman, the five -member committee shall monitor the functioning of the institute and recommend measures as would be required from time to time to improve its overall functioning and concretize steps for appointment of Director SKIMS on a regular basis.
Dr Pawan Kotwal, Principal Secretary Health & Medical Education Department; Prof Samia Rashid, Principal GMC Srinagar; Dr Omar Javed Shah, Director SKIMS & ex-officio Secretary to Government; Dr Ghulam Nabi Yattoo, Professor & Head, Department of Gastroentrology, are members of the Management Committee.
