SRINAGAR, Jan 23: Traffic Police City Srinagar suspended 37 driving licenses of drivers who were found using cell phones while driving.
All the 37 seized driving licenses were recommended for suspension for the period of three months. Sixteen licenses have been suspended by concerned ARTO and rest 21 are under process for suspension.
It is pertinent to mention here that Supreme Court Committee to monitor and measure implementation of Road Safety laws has directed concerned departments to suspend driving licenses for the period not less than 3 months under Section 19 M.V Act (read with Rule 21).
