JAMMU, July 12: Apni Party provincial secretary and district president Jammu Urban, Dr Rohit Gupta today met Commissioner Secretary Jal Shakti Department Shaleen Kabra, here and highlighted various issues of general masses.
Dr Gupta was accompanied by provincial secretary Apni Trade Union Jammu Daljit Singh and others. During their interaction, Dr Rohit said that drinking water supply system should be improved as the people are facing crises of drinking water during the ongoing monsoon season.
He referred to Aithum village falling under Jammu East Constituency and said that the village is without drinking water for a long time. The Apni Party leader said that around 1500 people are deprived of drinking water. He said that the issue was highlighted by the local people, but no action by the field officers was taken to ensure drinking water supply.
On hearing them patiently, the Commissioner Secretary, Shaleen Kabra issues on the spot directions to the officers to solve the water crisis in Aitham village and other areas if any.
