JAMMU, July 24: In a function here today Dr Navneet Gupta has been installed as Rotary Club Jammu President.
The installation ceremony was conducted by Amarjeet Singh Modi.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Gupta thanked the Club members and the Rotarians present in the functions for giving him opportunity and pledged that the projects in hands will be further boosted in his tenure. He assured the outgoing President to support the ‘Gift of Sight’ project during his tenure.
In his address the outgoing President, Sunil Kumar Sawhney highlighted the achievement of the Club in eye donation project. He informed that the Club has managed cornea transplantation of 15 blind persons under ‘Gift of Sight’ project. He also informed that many multispecialty mega medical camps were organised during his tenure and the patients were given free treatment and medicines.
He further informed that he has pledged to eradicate cornea blindness in J&K with the support of public.
Prominent members of the Club A.S Modi, Prem Shanker, Gaurav Vaid, Harbans Singh, Dr Navneet Gupta, Aman Sharma, Sanjay Sachdeva, Abhishek Sachdeva, Dr Anil Amla and others were also present.
The welcome address and vote of thanks were presented by Prem Shanker and Harbans Singh respectively.
