JAMMU, Dec 21: Dr Meenu Gupta of Jammu, Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology, Cancer Research Institute Swami Rama Himalayan University, Dehradun Uttarakhand, has been awarded with Bharat Gaurav Award.
Dr Meenu Gupta, daughter of Vijay Gupta of Bakshi Nagar. Jammu, obtained her MBBS degree from Govt Medical College Jammu and MD Radiotherapy from SKIMS Srinagar. Her career started as a member of faculty at Cancer Research Institute Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Dehradun but she moved to MD Anderson Cancer Centre Texas USA for advanced training in Radiation Oncology including proton therapy. During brief interludes, she presented her research in various cancers at international conferences held at Belgium, Chicago, Istanbul, Rome etc.
She is Joint Secretary of North Zone Association of Radiation Oncologists of India and Member of Radiological Society of North America.
