JAMMU, Oct 3: Research works of Dr Nitin Langer, who has become first regular Ph D awardee in the faculty of Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, have found their way into the `Google Scholar Top Citations’ list of 20 topmost journals in Power Engineering in the World.
Dr Nitin Langer, son of S P Langer of Trikuta Nagar Jammu, did his Ph D research work under the guidance and supervision of Dr Abdul Hamid Bhat, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Srinagar.
Eleven research publication of Dr Nitin Langer, who is presently working as Associate Professor and Head, Department of Electrical Engineering in MIET Jammu, found place in various international SCI journals. These include the publications in IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics, IET Power Electronics and IJEPES-Elseveir.
Seven out of these eleven publications have found their way into the `Google Scholar Top Citations’ list of 20 topmost journals in Power Engineering in the World. Effectiveness of his work is also reflected in statics with a cumulative impact factor of 18.74, h-Index of 02, citations-14 as per Google search with number of downloads exceeding 730. His deep probing into his research has also resulted in the filling of one Patent “A Novel Method and System of Capacitor Voltage Balancing for Three-Phase Neutral Point Clamped Bi-directional Rectifiers: Hamid-Langer Modulation Strategy”, published vide number 1494/DEL/2013 in Indian Patent Office, New Delhi.
Dr Langer has 14 years of teaching and administrative experience along with proven track record of conceptualizing and leading research/consultancy projects in Electrical Engineering.
