NEW DELHI, June 1: On the eve of Mela Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji, Tullamulla in Kashmir, Dr Karan Singh, Member of Parliament and the Chairman Trustee, J&K Dharmarth Trust, has urged upon the administration to ensure security of devotees visiting the Shrine on the occasion.
Greeting the Hindu community, especially the Kashmiri Pandits for whom the importance of this festival is spiritually and sentimentally very great, Dr Karan Singh prayed that the present festival may bring happiness, peace and communal harmony to the people and the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
In a statement, issued today, Dr Karan Singh said that the State Government machinery, in coordination with J&K Dharmarth Trust, would take care of the devotees visiting to the Shrine from all parts of the State and the country.
Dr Karan Singh, who is Chairman Trustee of the J&K Dharmarth Trust, has been directly monitoring the arrangements and other measures taken by the Dharmarth Trust, which controls and manages the famous Mata Kheerbhawani Shrine.
In this context, under an administration of B R Kundal, former Chief Secretary and President, J&K Dharmarth Trust, a team of Dharmarth Trust officers and employees from Jammu and Srinagar was specifically deployed for the arrangements. The President, J&K Dharmarth Trust has personally taken the final necessary assessment and coordinated with the District Administration, headed by the District Magistrate, Ganderbal, Kashmir.
