NEW DELHI,June 14: Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Personnel Public Grievances & Pensions, Science & Technology (I/c), Earth Sciences (I/c) Atomic Energy and Space, today visited he Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Headquarters at C.G.O. Complex, New Delhi where he was received by CBI Director Ranjit Sinha and other senior officers.
During his interaction with the staff, Dr. Jitendra Singh observed that CBI is one of the most prestigious and important institutions of the country and therefore to uphold its credibility is a collective responsibility of all of us.
He said that the new Government has taken over with the promise of serving the nation with sincerity and providing fair deal to all sections of society. To ensure sanctity of each institution of the country is our commitment, he added
Dr Jitendra Singh said , within ten days of having taken over his present assignment, he has tried to interact with all the officials from top to bottom in each of the departments assigned to him. This is a part of an exercise to acquaint himself with intrinsic nuances essential for optimal delivery of services through these departments, he added
He assured the senior CBI officers of working in close coordination in order to discharge the noble responsibility for which institutions like CBI were envisaged and established.
He said, the nation looks up to these institutions with great faith and hope and therefore, to live up to this expectation should be our constant endeavour.
Earlier,while receiving Dr Jitendra Singh,the CBI Director Ranjit Sinha referred to the new Minister’s meritorious profile and assured full cooperation on behalf of himself and his staff.
