JAMMU, Apr 8: The overwhelming response to the BJP candidate from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliamentary Constituency, and Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, has sent wave of shock among Congress in particular, which has failed to share any solid achievement of its MPs in the past and is facing embarrassment in replying to the queries of lakhs of voters.
Dr. Jitendra Singh has lot to claim as his five year’s work for the Constituency familiarized the people with the real development, which was nowhere prior to his tenure.
This was stated by BJP State spokesperson & Media Incharge for Udhampur Consituency, Balbir Ram Rattan, while making publicly that Dr. Jitendra Singh has achieved the distinction of being the first MP, who introduced ‘development culture’ and the people are appreciating development on ground in practical.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that BJP Government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, launched dozens of welfare schemes for the socio-economic upliftment of the weaker sections, women, farmers, ex-servicemen, youth, border people and each such scheme reached the Constituency with the efforts of Dr. Jitendra Singh.
‘If a power project or road connectivity project was sanctioned for a Parliamentary Constituency in any State of the country, Dr. Jitendra Singh ensured that similar project is brought to Udhampur-Doda-Kathua,” Balbir said and added that whatever projects were conceived and approved for any Constituency, they were surely to be added to this State, particularly Udhampur-Doda-Kathua.
Balbir further said that it is itself an achievement that the development works hanging for decades saw light to the day in last five years. Many prestigious projects got completed, with few under progress and some having approved which include bridges, medical colleges, upgradation of railway stations, opening up of passport offices, setting up of War Memorials in honour of martyrs, highway villages, recreation/ dream parks, enhancement in the emoluments of SPOs, adoption of most neglected villages, construction of community halls, fixing towers along IB, establishment of Degree Colleges, are tip of the ice but written history in just five years in the Constituency.
