POLAND, May 25: Dr Cheena Langer, a renowned dermatologist from Jammu, delivered an enlightening lecture titled “Melasma: Behind and Beyond” at the 8th Continental Congress of Dermatology (CCD) and the 12th Controversies in Dermatology Conference.
These significant events were organized by the International Society of Dermatology which took place from May 23rd to 25th, 2024, in the historic city of Wroclaw, Poland.
Dr Langer’s lecture provided a comprehensive exploration of melasma, a common and often challenging pigmentary disorder. Her presentation covered the latest research, treatment modalities, and emerging therapies, offering new perspectives and insights to dermatologists from around the world.
Dr Cheena Langer is an alumnus of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and presently serves as a Consultant Dermatologist at her clinic, Aastha Skin & Dermato Cosmetic Centre, Jammu. She is also the Convener of the Practice Management Cell for the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) for the term 2024-25 and a member of the Task Force for Artificial Intelligence at IADVL for 2024-25. Dr Langer previously served as the President of the IADVL Jammu & Kashmir Branch for 2023-2024. Additionally, she is an active member of several national and international dermatological societies.
Dr Langer had completed her fellowship in Surgical & Cosmetic Dermatology at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. Her extensive experience and dermatological research have made significant contributions to the field, particularly in the study and treatment of pigmentary disorders such as melasma.
The 8th Continental Congress of Dermatology and the 12th Controversies in Dermatology Conference are globally recognized platforms that bring together leading dermatologists to discuss and debate the latest advancements and challenges in the field.
