In 4 months, 50 smartphones worth over Rs 18 lakh recovered in Jammu

JAMMU, May 25: Police in Jammu District claimed that they have recovered 50 smartphones worth over Rs 18 lakh in the last four months.
A police official said that specialised Tech/ESU team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Jammu South Zone have traced the missing phones from all across the UT and other states of the country.
Post recovery by the ESU action team under the command of SP City South Jammu and overall supervision of SSP Jammu, the traced phones have been handed over to their legal owners in simple functions in presence of SDPOs South, East, and SHO Gandhinagar in the officer premises of SP South.
SP South Ajay Sharma gave the word of advice to take care of communication devices such as smart mobile phones, which contain not only the contacts, but a lot of personal information, including photographs, emails, text messages, and financial details.
