KATHUA, May 29: MLA Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, today kick started the blacktopping work of a lane from the residence of Mohinder Pal near Anganwadi Centre, Ward No. 21, opposite CTM in Kathua.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the work will improve road connectivity and provide better commuting facilities to local residents. People of the area appreciated the initiative and thanked the MLA for addressing their long-pending demand.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, also dedicated two developmental works to the people of Kathua, executed at a total cost of Rs 15 lakh.
The first work inaugurated is blacktopping of lane from shop of Desh Bandhu Karyana Store to House of Ashok Kumar in Upper Shiva Nagar, Kathua.
The second work is blacktopping of lane from house of Mohinder Pal, SRTC to onwards in Ward No. 21 Kathua. These works will improve sanitation and drainage facilities in these areas, ensuring a cleaner environment and preventing water logging, especially during the rainy season.
Mandal president, BJP, Rahul Dev Sharma, Lalit Kangla , Seema Kapoor, Ashok Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Amit Sudan, Anirudh Sharma, former Councilor, Bhanu Partap Singh, and prominent citizens of these wards were present on both the occasions.
Speaking on occasion, Dr. Bharat Bhushan stated that development at the grassroots level is very essential for Kathua. He emphasized that such projects are vital for improving daily life and ensuring better infrastructure across all wards of the Kathua. He further assured the public that more developmental works will be initiated in the near future to meet the growing needs of the people.
Local residents appreciated the efforts of the MLA expressing satisfaction over these works. They said that these initiatives will go a long way in enhancing their quality of life.
