JAMMU, Oct 29: Assistant Professor of Zoology, Government Degree College Doda Dr Wahied Khawar Balwan has been awarded “Congress of Zoology Gold Medal” by Zoology Society of India.
The award was presented by Chief Minister of UP Akhilesh Yadav and Vice Chancellor BR Ambedkar Central University Lucknow for research and academic contribution in the field of Zoology.
This is for the first time in the history of Doda District that such a prestigious award that too by CM of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav has been awarded to Dr Wahied Khawar Balwan, son of Khursheed Ahmed Balwan of Doda.
It is pertinent to mention here that Prof Balwan is the youngest recipient of this prestigious award.
