JAMMU, May 26: DPS Jammu, Katra and Nagbani concluded the three-day Zonal Residential Programme in Mathematics with a grand valedictory ceremony celebrating academic excellence, collaborative learning and innovative pedagogical practices.
Organized under the leadership of Founder/PVC DPS Jammu/Nagbani/Katra, Dr Ritu Singh, the programme brought together educators from 10 DPS schools across Jammu & Kashmir, creating a vibrant platform for professional growth and exchange of ideas.
The ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Prof (Dr) Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, and the guest of honour, Pardeep Singh Rakwal, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Jammu.
In her welcome address, Dr Ritu Singh highlighted the significance of the programme in promoting collaborative learning, pedagogical innovation, and competency-based education in alignment with NEP 2020. She encouraged educators to implement the insights gained during the programme in their classrooms.
VK Shunglu (Chairman, The DPS Society), Ajatashatru Singh (president, Rajput Charitable Trust), SS Sodhi (Director, DPS Jammu, Katra & Nagbani), Sandhya Awasthi (Executive Director, DPSS-HRDC), Kiran Seth (Joint Director, DPSS-HRDC) and Renu Kaushik (Resource Person from DPS Rohini), also attended the event.
During the segment titled “Voices from the Classroom: Key Learning Insights,” participating teachers shared their experiences and reflections from the workshop sessions.
Participation certificates and mementoes were presented to all educators in recognition of their enthusiastic involvement and dedication throughout the programme.
In his keynote address, Prof (Dr) Pragati Kumar spoke about the rich legacy and pioneering role of The DPS Society in strengthening quality education across the country. He emphasized the importance of continuous teacher training and adapting educational practices to meet evolving technological and learning needs.
The formal proceedings concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Raj Kumar Verma, Principal, DPS Nagbani.
