JAMMU, July 1: Department of Posts (DoP) organized a seminar ‘Customer Friendly Post Offices’ for the postal executives at IIIM Auditorium.
The seminar was inaugurated by John Samuel, Chief Postmaster General, who while speaking emphasized the need to understand the customers’ needs, who are the main stay of the postal services.
With a view to make the Post Offices professional and efficient, the key emphasis will be on customer focus, Chief PMG said.
He announced that many such programs will be held throughout the State and every employee of the Post office will undergo training in soft skills and change management.
While speaking, Amit Sharma, Director Postal services emphasized the need to be proactive in customer satisfaction.
Earlier, JR Angural, Senior Superintendent of Post Office, Jammu, presented the welcome address.
The Seminar was conducted by Professor Anil Gupta and Prof Komal Nagar of The Business School, Jammu University.
